Professor Ashok Jashapara is Professor of Knowledge Management at the School of Business and Management, Royal Holloway, University of London. He is an internationally recognised scholar whose research focuses on Knowledge Management, Artificial Intelligence, Business Strategy, Business Analytics, and organisational learning. His bestselling book on Knowledge Management is widely used as a core academic text worldwide and has been translated into several languages, including Polish, Farsi, and Mandarin.
Professor Jashapara has secured approximately £1 million in competitive research funding from major organisations, including the ESRC, the European Union, the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), and the United Nations. His research has been published in leading international journals, including Social Science & Medicine (ABS 4*), and has significantly contributed to the fields of knowledge management and data-driven decision-making.
An award-winning educator, he is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (PFHEA) and has held several national leadership roles in teaching excellence, including membership of the UK's Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) panels. He has also served as Director of Teaching and Learning and Head of the Department of Information & Operations Management at Royal Holloway, providing strategic leadership for undergraduate and postgraduate education.
Professor Jashapara has supervised numerous doctoral researchers to completion, served as External Examiner at leading international universities, and delivered keynote addresses at major international conferences. He has also held Visiting Professorships at ESADE Business School (Spain) and SPJIMR (India), strengthening international collaborations in research and education.
