Quality assurance is a central pillar of the MSc “AI for Sustainable Business Development” and is linked to the University of the Aegean's Internal Quality Assurance System, the principles of the European Higher Education Area, and the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG). The programme's official quality policy states that the MSc is committed to promoting high-quality postgraduate education, research excellence, and innovation in artificial intelligence and sustainable business development.
The core principles of the quality policy include academic excellence, interdisciplinary education, student-centred learning, the ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence, international orientation, and strong relevance to society and the labour market. The programme supports continuous improvement through periodic evaluation of courses and student teaching, regular curriculum review, systematic monitoring of learning outcomes, and the use of measurable indicators such as student satisfaction, completion and graduation rates, graduate employability, and academic collaboration.
The quality policy also extends to the human resources supporting the programme. The official documents describe procedures for the recruitment and development of teaching and administrative staff, the strengthening of digital and pedagogical skills, staff training for distance education through the Teaching and Learning Support Centre (KEDIMA), and the evaluation of teaching performance with the aim of improving the learning experience.
The quality policy is publicly disseminated through the programme’s official channels, including the website and the Study Guide. In this way, transparency, accountability, and the programme’s continuous adaptation to academic, technological, and societal developments are actively supported.
